A civil marriage ceremony is performed by a civil judge and is recognized by law as a legal and lawful marriage. A religious marriage ceremony is performed by a non-denominational minister in English and is simply a religious ceremony and is not recognized as a legal marriage.
The Civil Marriage Ceremony includes:
Complimentary room upgrade (subject to availability on your arrival)
Hotel wedding coordinator
Marriage ceremony performed by a judge in Spanish and translated into English
CD music player
All legal and register fees as well as the marriage certificate.
Decorated wedding site
Bouquet for the bride
Boutonniere for the groom
Wedding cake
1 bottle of domestic champagne
Civil Marriage Ceremony Documentation required:
Passports
Birth certificates
Final divorce decree (if applicable) translated into Spanish
Tourist cards (it will be given to you at your entrance in Mexico)
Blood tests (HIV, RPR and RH) translated into Spanish and the results must be ready no more than 15 days prior to the wedding) or can be done locally.
4 witnesses who need to bring passports and tourist cards. If you do not them have the hotel will provide them
Couple needs to arrive to the resort 72 hrs. before the wedding.

None, the couple needs to speak with the minister shortly before the wedding.
