The Avalon Baccara Cancun is a beautiful boutique beachfront resort in the Cancun Hotel Zone. The hotel offers European-plan accommodations, along with an optional meal and beverages plan, the clientele is mostly adults; however, families are very welcome, and children can use the Wild Things Children's Club next door at a sister resort, the Avalon Grand Cancun. The hotel is 25 minutes from Cancun International Airport and 15 minutes from downtown Cancun. This hotel and resort is intimate, exclusive, and totally private. The resort maintains the ambience of a private, hacienda-style residence. It is a wonderful place for anniversaries and honeymoons as well.
Terracotta walls, blue-painted archways, handcrafted Mexican tile accents, stained-glass windows, vibrant tropical gardens and authentic Mexican art and artifacts define the look and feel of the Baccara. There are 27 rooms (no two are alike) in the four-floor terracotta building, a free-form Venetian tile pool with waterfall, swim-up bar, and lounge beds; there is a sundeck, and palm trees and beautiful plants all throughout the grounds. Inside the hotel are a lovely library, two restaurants, lobby bar, and pool table. Water sports are offered on the beach. Features a Stay at One Play at Three (applicable in Avalon Baccara Cancun, Avalon Grand Cancun, and Avalon Reef Club Isla Mujeres) where you can enjoy facilities from multiple Avalon resorts. Avalon Grand Cancun also contains a health spa and fitness center. Also available are wedding and honeymoon services and planning, called Avalon's weddingmoons.
The Baccara offers luxurious accommodations, each one unique and personal, with one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites. Some have views of the Caribbean or the lagoon. Each of the suites offers King and queen size beds, private hand-tiled Jacuzzis on their balconies, living rooms, dining rooms, separate sitting areas, full kitchens and meals prepared in-suite upon request. Several of these rooms have rich hardwood floors.
Restaurants and bars include The Avanti Restaurant (Mexican fusion cuisine with sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea), The Boulevard Bistro (breakfast & lunch, Mediterranean style, with pizzas), and Baccara's Beach Bar (tropical drinks, fresh seafood such as ceviche and lobster).
